Fyreball

What is Fyreball? from Mike McCain on Vimeo.

Fyreball is a new place on the web that provides you with an easy to use platform to share hot links, videos and whatever else you want, be it with your friends or with everyone. Still in beta right now so it may not be perfect.

Some more information follows right now!

Who’s behind this?

The idea came to Pete Parsons in the middle of the night sometime in 2006. You see, Pete doesn’t sleep very much; at night, he finds all sorts of obscure online miscellanea, which he promptly sends along to his friends.

For some time, he’d been thinking that email and instant messaging, while great for their intended purposes, were terrible to send content online with friends. Wouldn’t it be fun if one could see their content, or really, their ideas, as they spread around the world, traveling from one friend to another?

By the time the sun rose that morning, Pete had a write-up ready to share with his buddy Jordan Weisman.

Jordan, a serial entrepreneur and famed game designer, quickly latched on to the idea and encouraged his friend to make it happen.

Early 2007, Pete brought together Jordan, Michael Evans and Michel Bastien (two long-time friends he’d worked with previously at Bungie Studios) and together, they began work on Fyreball, building it into something they now use everyday as their primary way to share online content with each other and their friends.

There’s still plenty to do as we continue to build Fyreball but we’re excited that you’re taking a moment to check us out! Hopefully, you’ll like it and either way, we’d love to hear from you. Enjoy!
