Eternal Silence 3.0 has now been released, and by clicking on the above picture you will be taken to the download page for the mod.
For those of you who are new to this Cinematic Space Mod which is focused on teamplay and large battle entwined with a deep back story then take a look at the online manual for the basic lowdown on how to play Eternal Silence.
Hopefully I will get the chance to download this next week and give it a whirl, and of course provide some feedback on it.
After literally days of speculation and wondering Codemasters Race Driver GRID has landed on Steam for $39.99 for UK and US customers while those in the rest of Europe will be paying $59.99. The game is also available world wide.
I must say that it is a shame that, despite being a world wide release, Codies have decided to vary the price so much between the UK/US and the rest of Europe. Makes me feel somewhat sad for any European readers. Another slightly disappointing matter is that the Steam release of GRID doesn’t include any Steamworks features. Apart from that this is great to see, I really hope that Codemasters will try to further expand their presence on Steam, they do have some pretty good games.
Over on the Bethesda blog the contents of the Fallout 3 Collector’s Edition has been revealed and confirmed. Fallout 3 is sure to divide many people, especially those on No Mutants Allowed the famous Fallout fanatics. However the Collector’s Edition contents should go a small way towards appeasing them and makes me feel pleased to have already got it on pre-order.
According to the Bethesda Blog the Collector’s Edition will include the following:
* Vault Boy Bobblehead: Enjoy your very own Vault Boy with this collector’s item direct from Vault-Tec.
* The Art of Fallout 3: This hardcover book features nearly 100 pages of never-before seen concept art and commentary from Bethesda Game Studios artists.
* The Making of Fallout 3: Get an exclusive, inside look at Bethesda Game Studios and the team behind the game with this special DVD.
* Vault-Tec Lunch Box: The entire package comes in a fully customized metal lunchbox.
Oh how I must avoid making references to drugs in cycling in this post. So Pro Drug Manager Cycling Manager 2008 has released its first video showing off the new version of the game due for release before the end of June on the PC (and PSP.)
When I was talking to one of the developers when I first heard about Trials 2 I enquired about a Steam release, at the time he said he couldn’t reveal anything. Looks like this is why!
The list of changes between the normal and the new Steam version follow.
Who would have thought that an event known as “Friday Night Fights” from the Tabula Rasa beta would become such an ingrained part of the game that the team would include a Boxing Ring in the upcoming patch ‘Deployment 8.’
Well that is just what has happened with the ring being known as CELLAR (Coalition of Enlistees Likely Looking for Aggressive Retaliation) with the new home of Friday Night Fights also allowing players to purchase boxing gloves, helmets and even shorts! You may even see General British himself step into the ring!
More pictures of the ring can be seen below or over here.
Cactus is surely one of the best indie/casual game developers out there, I don’t know how many games he makes a minute but he makes loads of them, and they are great!
His latest work is Precision which involves some precisely timed jumping to reach some bottles and the end of the level. With only seven levels to play you should rip through this in a matter of moment. Unless your me and fail to get past the second level.
Blizzard have entered the world of digital distribution via their swanky Blizzard Store.
Currently they have Warcraft III Reign of Chaos, the expansion The Frozen Throne and the Starcraft Anthology. Warcraft III and The Frozen Throne clock in at $19.95 each which is about £10 and Starcraft Anthology is $14.99 costing about £7.50. (Rock, Paper, Shotgun money changing)
Good to see more companies embracing digital distribution especially with classics such as these! Lets hope Diablo appears there soon!
The Steam Group Rest of World which is fighting against unfair game prices and availability for different countries around the world has now reached 5000 members.
The group is now going to act on its promise and will be attempting to get in touch with and developer or publisher which they feel are excluding the Rest of the World from being able to purchase games, purchase games at a fair price and to purchase games as they are meant to have been releaed.

You may remember that a couple of days ago I blogged about a game known as Stalin vs Martians a Real Time Strategy being made by Dreamlore, BWF and N-Game.
The game immediately grabbed my interest for the obvious possibilities of playing as both Stalin and some Martians all set in a fun action packed environment. I decided that I wanted to learn and sent off an e-mail to the information e-mail address on the Stalin vs Martians site. To my surprise I received a reply from Alexander Shcherbakov the head of Dreamlore and Producer/Lead Designer of Stalin vs Martians.
I have been exchanging numerous e-mails with Alexander over the past few days and have been able to glean a lot of information regarding Stalin vs Martians, other Dreamlore projects and his thoughts on digital distribution.
